## Source setup
- Japan GSI Map > Bing Satellite

## Realignment process
- Align Bing to reference source, add imagery as per source setup
- Delete extra nodes, split/join roads accordingly
- Retag motorable paths

## Issues
- Misaligned coastline
- Misplaced natural=wood from MLIT import
- Residential/unclassified roads tagged as path
- Paths tagged as residential
- Unclassified roads tagged as residential
- yh:WIDTH tag is not usable/outdated
- lots of nodes.
- Roads split into small segments
- Roads require spliting
- bridges traced in ceratin areas when there in no bridge visible in satellite imagery
- Lots of missing bridges on highways
- Many new roads/realignments and developments not in GSI maps
- difficult to decide on offset for bing imagery
- Most of the roads are tagged as unclassified
- Observing shift of most of the data to be a little towards left
- Outdated GSI imagery


## Tools/plugins needed
- Merge linear ways with matching tags
- Bridge/tunnel creation tool. Create two nodes manually, automatically split way and add bridge/tunnel+layer


## Realigning tips
- `w` for realignments
- Select continuous ways with `shift+w`and combine them `c`


## Careful
- Conflicts! Dont edit outside download area. Split highways at edges
- Relations
- Choose task areas away from others
- Oneway direction Japan drives on the left hand side of the road, like India.

## Finishing a task
- For no GSI imagery in the block, unlock and say `No GSI coverage

## Open questions:
- Delete yh:WIDTH, source tag to merge ways
- Bridges or tunnels

## Automation ideas
### Tasking Manager
- Remove blocks from task
- Mass invalidate all blocks
- Set imagery flags `full` `partial` `cloudy`
- Stats graph updates on invalidated tasks
- Add custom tile layers
